Food Noir is a provocative journey straight into the depths of epicurean darkness.

Through a collection of articles, the author investigates our contemporary fascination for fashionable food and drink. Food Noir was awarded by the SCA (Swedish Culinary Academy) in the essay and literature category for Best Swedish Literature on Gastronomy in 2004, with the motivation "an elegant and well-written collection of articles from all around the world, in which the culinary culture is reflected against the underlying social drama."
